Ink and Shadows (Series: The Secret, Book, and Scone Society Mysteries) by Ellery Adams

This book is the fourth book in the series; The Secret, Book, and Scone Society Mysteries.  The stories revolve around the heroine Nora and her bookstore, Miracle Books.  Nora has started a new life after finding out about her husband's affair and then drinking and getting in a car accident causing burns covering a large part of her body.  She works with three other shop owners in her little town of Miracle Springs and together, they solve mysteries.

I really enjoyed the premise of this book which explored strong women, witchcraft vs. healers, and religion.  A new shop called Soothe has opened up and it is run by a mother and daughter who sell gift baskets, healing herbs, and different minerals, many containing CBD only.  Unfortunately, tragedy from their past follows them to Miracle Springs and the four women shop owners have another mystery to solve!!

This is definitely a cozy mystery and an easy read.  The plot unfolds in a very understandable way and I was pulled into the story with wonderful descriptions of people and scenery around the town.  The motives of the protagonist were clear and the characters had depth.  For a light read, I would definitely recommend this book.
